A two-phase study of solid form and surface material. Phase 1: A hybrid form was developed through the process of subtractive sculpting using XPS foam. Phase 2: A “skin” or “jacket” was designed by using only sheet materials to create dynmaic interior/exterior spaces when placed on the form.
